Description
For over ten years, I have aligned my life and career with enriching elements—things, experiences, business success and people—through a simple but powerful daily practice. It has been a game-changer for me that I was taught by an incredible executive coach (thank you, Zane).
As the CEO of rapidly growing and successful companies and a consultant/advisor to other companies and CEOs, I heavily rely on this Daily Practice as a foundational aspect of my success. I self-published this so others can have access to a journal that captures a practice that I found to be an essential element in my success and happiness.
The Daily Practice is a journal that includes sections for Gratitude, Check-In on Emotions, Review of Yesterday, Preview of Today, Accountability for Meditation and Exercise and Notes and Reminders.
The practice itself is intended to be a daily 10 minute morning exercise that reinforces self-awareness, action, accountability and mental health:
Practice Gratitude:A section for writing down what you are grateful for today. The simple exercise of being grateful for that which you have rather than what you do not substantially changes your outlook on life.
Check-In on Emotions: This section helps you understand your current emotions and their origins, allowing you to identify and manage them effectively.
Review of Yesterday: A section for reflecting on yesterday. The past exists only in our memories and perceptions. Acknowledging what happened yesterday then letting it go helps you focus on the present moment and what lies ahead.
Preview of Today:This section helps you define your intentions for the day and envision how you can be your best self.
Accountability: A section for accountability on meditation and exercise. For meditation, learn Coherent Breathing (I recommend the HeartMath device) to enhance focus and clarity. Do it for five minutes each morning as part of your daily practice. Read Joe Dispenza's Becoming Supernatural, which delves into the science behind meditation and its transformative power. Meditate and exercise each day and hold yourself accountable.
Notes and Reminders: A section to keep your top 'to-dos' on your list, including people to call or write, appointments that need to be made or tasks you want to avoid procrastinating.
