Textbook buybacks for athletic departments

When athletes return department-owned textbooks, some titles may be ready for another reader. Ask Good Books Company about a buyback for the books your department no longer needs.

Build a list of the returned books

Record the ISBN, edition, and quantity for each title. Keep different editions or bindings on separate lines. Note books with writing, highlighting, department labels, damaged covers, or missing material so the list reflects the copies you have.

If your department is still collecting books, say that the quantities are estimates and include the date you expect the inventory to be ready.

Include the logistics

  • Your institution, department, and contact person.
  • The city, state, and location where the books are held.
  • The approximate number of books or boxes.
  • Your preferred collection window and any building-access restrictions.

Confirm an offer before moving inventory

An inquiry lets us review the request; it is not confirmation that every book will be purchased. Any written bid or pickup confirmation will set out the agreed eligibility, inspection, freight or collection, and payment terms. Wait for those instructions before shipping or arranging a collection.
