These devotionals are meant to be a part of your quiet time with God every day, 7 days a week. Go through them honestly and prayerfully. There’s Action Steps at the end of each devotional, designed to help you walk through with God and apply everything you’re learning. A Follower is a Disciple. A learner, so we can apply what we learn to reflect more of what Jesus is like to the world. DEFINITION OF DISCIPLE: THE LIFELONG PURSUIT OF BECOMING MORE LIKE JESUS BY LEARNING FROM HIM AND EXPERIENCING HIS REALITY HE TEACHES US HOW TO LIVE…AND WE ARE GOING TO LEARN A LOT! As a disciple we are learners; there is just so much to learn and put into our heart. This first week, we will cover some of the habits that we will start adopting because we are in hot pursuit of knowing Jesus and becoming more like Him. We are: FOLLOWING SEEKING RENEWING TRANSFORMING CONNECTING ENGAGING Each day I encourage you to: Start your day with 15 minutes alone with Jesus. Start by asking Him to guide you and speak to you to prepare you for the day. Read through the devotional and fill out the blanks. Reflect on what Jesus is speaking to your heart through the lesson and write it down. Read the daily Bible reading and ask the Lord what He wants to show you from that passage and write it down. Then end your time really engaging with Him, thanking Him for another day to live with Him all day long!
