Carol Siskovic spent her life in pursuit of sharing her love of learning, reading, and writing. She taught high school and college English. She encouraged youth and adults alike to record their feelings, their deepest concerns, and simple day to day events with passion. Carol published anthologies of student poetry many years that she taught. She also judged a number of poetry contests including the well-known Young Pegasus Poetry Contest sponsored by Trinity University. Through the years, she has participated in many poetry clubs, reading clubs and organizations in San Antonio, Texas, where she has lived since she and her family chose it as their permanent home at the end of her husband’s Air Force career. Most importantly, Carol Malone Siskovic has never stopped writing poetry for the past sixty plus years. This is a modest collection of some pertinent works and is a reflection of her life at the age of 85, looking forward and looking back.
