Recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen, the dramatic soprano's self-titled debut album features Strauss' most-loved lieder and songs, including Four Last Songs, as well as arias from Elisabeth in Wagner's Tannh„user, the role in which Davidsen will make her debut at Bayreuth Festival, and "Es gibt ein Reich" from Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, the title role in which her 2017 Glyndebourne debut was named "one of those `I was there' moments" by The Times.
